Sharni Vinson

born in NSW, Australia, Sharni Vinson grew up in Sydney's southern suburb of Cronulla. At the age of 16, Sharni Vinson competed on a National Level for swimming and was a part of four State Records in high school. Sharni was the youngest of performers in her family starting at a very young age with acting, singing and dancing. She was surrounded by a musical theatre performer, in addition to her mother receiving a Borovansky Ballet Company scholarship to England in 1945. When she was 12 Sharni took up a place as a dancer at the Brent Street School of Performing Arts in Sydney at which she learned across all dance styles for the next 10 years. Sharni had just graduated from high school at the age of 17 and was contacted to Roadshow Music Australia to be a member the group "Foxfire IV" the all-girl pop group, whose debut single, "Roses", reached no. 50 on the Australian ARIA chart.
